Happy Sunday! The holiday weekend has thrown us off a bit, but
new and exciting things have popped up, so hopefully none of you mind the
impromptu Sunday post!
I always enjoy collaborating with other people in the blogosphere,
I have been blogging in my personal blog for quite sometime and I really enjoy
reading other blogs – from parenting to cooking to D.I.Y. projects to fashion
from traveling to love, it doesn’t matter, if you engage me, I will faithfully
read no matter what the content. So when I got offered the chance to work with
Callie over at Coffee and Cardigans, I jumped at the opportunity.
Callie writes a really adorable fashion blog and she
features outfits similar to my style and tips on how to pull them off -- on a
budget too, which is great since I am a college student and small business
owner! She thrifts and recycles and pulls off the most adorable looks! Callie’s
blog also encompasses other aspects of life, which I also find enjoyable to
read.
Well with all that being said, I was delighted when I logged
on to C&C for my daily reads and boom, there it was… a post featuring The Sapphire
Bee talking about the importance of using accessories to complete your look.
I started The Sapphire Bee because I love accessorizing and
you can do it in all sorts of ways… with jewelry, shoes, makeup, hats, scarfs, animals
(yes, I said animals – I think my Chihuahua is always the perfect accessory)
however the importance is to make sure that your accessories compliment your
look, not over shadow it. Sometimes less is more, although I always suggest
adding one thing before you leave the house.
I found her post inspiring; personally I
love how she pushed the limit with the bold bright fabric, yet it was simple,
comfortable and chic, perfect for the weekend or even a casual night out on the town. Additionally, I hope everyone took away the importance of completing your look to make a bold fashion statement.
Since we have teamed up, I am offering her readers 15% OFF
until June 8th – so check out her post find the code and go
shopping! Don’t forget to like her on Facebook or Tweet along with us
throughout the week!
Have a great day! See ya tomorrow for the Monday Mashup!
